We are Gaspard and Javi, two “cycling pirates” that now and then get 3 months off from work to cycle the world in an autonomous, adventurous style. This series of videos give a taste of our 2023 adventure crossing Africa from East to West.
This video captures our cycling journey through some of Namibia’s most stunning landscapes and remote regions, covering approximately 1000 kilometers from Buitepos to Swakopmund in October 2023.
In this sequel, we pedal along the “lonely road to Windhoek,” passing through Gobabis and Seeis before heading to Otjiwarongo. We witness the impressive cliffs from Munsterfarm to the Vingerklip, a striking rock formation that dominates the skyline. We also take time to explore the ancient site of Twyfelfontein.
Our route then takes us to Uis, a small mining town in the Damaraland region, before reaching the coastal city of Henties Bay, where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean. Each part of our journey offers new perspectives, from the rugged desert landscapes to the calm coastal air.
